Introduction

genutils.app ("genutils", "we", "our", or "us") provides an AI-powered content automation service for Joomla websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you interact with our application, APIs, onboarding forms, and integrations.

Information we collect

Account data

We collect your name, email address, and authentication identifier from Clerk when you sign in. These details allow us to create and manage your genutils account.

Website metadata

To deliver relevant content, we store the URLs, sitemap locations, topics, and language preferences you configure for each Joomla property.

Generated content

Blog ideas and posts generated for your sites are encrypted at rest and retained so you can review historical outputs, reuse drafts, and track delivery status.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the genutils application and APIs.
• Monitor usage to enforce subscription limits and prevent abuse.
• Notify you of product updates, incidents, or support issues.
• Generate aggregate insights to improve crawl accuracy and AI prompts.

Data retention and deletion

Account data is retained while your subscription is active and for up to 90 days after cancellation. You may request deletion earlier by emailingprivacy@genutils.app. Generated posts and crawl artifacts can be removed from within the dashboard.

Sharing and subprocessors

We rely on trusted vendors for authentication (Clerk), hosting (Vercel), queueing (Upstash), and payments (Stripe). These providers only process your data to deliver the contracted services and are bound by DPAs.

Security practices

All network traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.2+. Secrets and API keys are stored using environment-level encryption. Administrative access is limited to the engineering team and protected with hardware security keys and mandatory 2FA.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data. Submit any privacy requests to privacy@genutils.appand we will respond within 30 days.
